Overview

This chapter discusses the disorders that affect the arteries and veins that are important to practising dermatologists. It moves from peripheral arterial disease to varicose veins, venous thrombosis and chronic insufficiency. On the way, arterial, venous and arteriovenous malformations are discussed; the types and causes of telangiectases are described; and erythromelalgia is covered. The latest on the pathogenesis of these disorders is discussed and the most recent guidelines on management are given.
