Stings and Bites
Overview
This chapter provides an overview of dermatoses caused by organisms that can sting or bite humans. Skin pathology in stings is usually induced by venom (envenomation), while bites cause problems from both tissue damage and the introduction of infection. The type and distribution of lesions produced by individual species are discussed.
