Other Sexually Transmitted Bacterial Diseases
Bacterial sexually transmitted diseases other than syphilis remain a common cause of significant morbidity and occasional mortality worldwide. This chapter describes and illustrates the features of gonorrhoea, genital Chlamydia infection, lymphogranuloma venereum, chancroid and granuloma inguinale. These infections represent continuing challenges as they continue to evolve to adapt to changing patterns of sexual behaviour and treatment.
